BEHIND THE LENS

Martin Fried is a South Florida native. Born and raised in Miami, Martin graduated from Florida International University. Once out of college, he discovered his passion for photography. With an old Yashica film camera he started a dream to capture moments for a lifetime. Martin learned many of the technical aspects of photography, while apprenticing under a professional photographer with more than 20 years experience. Since 1996, he has done free-lance photography for many wire services with his work appearing in publications across the globe, including People, OK! and the New York Post. He photographed events such as the Superbowl, the Daytona 500 and the Latin Grammys. As his career grew, friends and family members started asking Martin to photograph their special events. In 2006, he photographed his first Bat Mitzvah, shortly after, his first wedding.

In 2013 Martin's wife switched careers and became a realtor opening up the opportunity for Martin to delve into Architectural / Real Estate photography. For the past years he has pursued his passion for photography full time.  His attention to detail, technical expertise and concern for his clients´ satisfaction are core to the success of turning pictures into memories. Martin shoots with only professional equipment. He is a member of the Canon Professional Services. Martin now resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina with his wife and two sons.
